IndexedDB stores your tastes, saved stations, feedback, playback outcomes, listening history and cached station catalog. localStorage stores display preferences and small interface settings. We use these to personalize your listening. These Free listening records are not uploaded to our database. Browser storage is readable by anyone who can access your browser profile.
Google sign-in
When you choose to sign in, we link an internal account ID to your Google subject identifier. To display your account icon, we request basic profile information and keep only the Google picture URL in a signed, HttpOnly cookie bound to your login for up to 30 days. We do not store this URL in our database or keep a copy of the image file. Your browser loads the image directly from Google. We do not store your email address, profile name or Google access tokens. Signing out or deleting your account clears the picture cookie.
Plus sync
Only Plus accounts can upload listening data to Cloudflare D1, and only when you initiate sync. Synced data includes saved stations, tastes, feedback, listening history, playback results and deletion records. It is associated with your internal account ID.
Network and third parties
Cloudflare serves the site and optional API requests and may process IP addresses and technical request data. Radio stations receive direct audio requests, including your IP address. Optional latest-station searches send your query through our API to Radio Browser and are cached for up to three hours. Map tiles are supplied by NASA. Google handles sign-in. Share links and support links send you to the selected external service.
Analytics
The public site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, traffic sources and engagement. Google uses cookies and processes usage and browser information for this measurement. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. We do not send account IDs, email addresses, names, Google sign-in tokens or locally stored listening history to Analytics. Technical logs must not contain email addresses, Google tokens or listening history.
Retention
Local history retains up to 1,000 listening segments. Cloud data remains until deleted by you or your account is deleted. Closed sessions expire after 30 days; temporary login requests expire after 10 minutes. Clearing this device does not delete cloud data. Deleting your account removes its cloud records and invalidates its sessions. Copies on other devices remain until cleared or a later synchronization reflects deletions.
Your choices
You can export or erase local data in Settings, sign out, and delete your account and cloud data. You can use Free without signing in or sharing personal data with our account database. Contact the operator below to request access, correction or help with deletion.
Processing locations and changes
Providers may process data outside your country. We apply access controls and secure session cookies. Material policy changes will be announced in the service.
